As an American Council on Exercise (ACE)-certified fitness professional (since 1995) and Spinning instructor (since 1997), I've been helping individuals reach their FIT potential for over 28 years. Exercise does not just benefit the physical body by challenging and strengthening it, it improves mental acuity, and 100% enhances spiritual well-being. When all of those elements are in alignment, you too can reach your FIT potential. Health begins with the right mindset; and I know firsthand how exercise not only helps us to transform our bodies but also our minds and our emotions. It all starts with the desire to be your best self so that you can live your BEST life.
Over the years, I've learned what works and what doesn't work when it comes transforming and healing the body with diet and exercise. In addition, as a registered dietitian/nutritionist for over 16 years, I've been helping women and men to lose weight and to improve their health or manage a pre-existing medical condition with lots of success. I do not believe in quick fixes or gimmicks, and I do not believe in a one-size-fits all approach; but I do believe in providing my clients with evidence-based advice and information on nutrition and exercise that is proven to work and is easy to implement into their daily routines.
I am a graduate of Teacher's College @ Columbia University with a Masters Degree in Diabetes Education and Management. I understand how insulin works in the body and how it contributes to some of the issues related not only to diabetes aka insulin resistance, but also to weight gain and metabolism.
Ahh stress, we all encounter it from time to time. I manage my stress with exercise, which may include mindful exercise like yoga. For me, exercise, just like food, is medicine. Studies show that exercise can improve your ability to deal with stress, anxiety, or non-clinical depression. It has benefits far beyond the physical.

You must embrace the body you have and then provide it with nourishing, wholesome and nutritious food, exercise that you enjoy doing, and relaxation, which can include yoga, stretching, meditation, reading, walking, gardening, etc.! When you do this, you WILL be rewarded with good health and a vitality that will carry you throughout your life.
